The West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) is conducting examinations as a part of recruitment to various posts. They have announced that the WBSETCL 2014 admit card for the students who are about to appear for these examinations is available for download. WBSETCL is one of the two divisions of what was hitherto the West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSEB). To meet the benchmarks of efficiency in an era of ever increasing demand for power the functions of WBSEB were divided into two bodies – WBSETCL and WBSEDCL. While the former is responsible for transmitting power at 66 KV, 132 KV, 220 KV and 400 KV across the state of West Bengal the latter distributes power through a network of lines operating at below 33 KV.

The examinations have been scheduled to be conducted at the various centers on the 2nd of February. The information regarding your center should be mentioned in your admit card. The exams shall be held in two sessions. Session 1 begins from 9: 00 AM during which the exams for all the posts except Officer Executive and Stenographer. Examinations for these posts commence from 1:00 PM as session 2.

The candidates must bring the admit card along with Company’s Copy of Bank Chalan

(Except SC & ST Candidates) and hand them over to the invigilator at the examination center.

The official website has also published a notice regarding some candidates who failed to update bank details in their application form.
